YOU got this momma!!!

Today I’m your cheerleader. YOU got this! Today is your day. If you are a momma, tired of doing the same thing day after day, hang on, stay tuned, I’m about to throw all kinds of encouragement your way!!

What are your days filled with dear momma? dishes? clothes? food? like 3-4 times a day??

There is blessing in the mundane. One day those days will not be there. What you do today, matters. Matters to the creator and lover of your soul.

Keep on keeping on momma. Don’t give up. Don’t give in. God has you right where He needs you. You are caring for the most precious in the world. The innocent. It’s our job to protect them with all we’ve got.

Turn to the creator of the universe when your thoughts are not on the right track. When they are not on God’s path, it’s a destructive slope that slowly drags you in to the pit of despair. I’ve been there. The pit of despair. On the sides of the pit and completely down in the bottom of the pit when I couldn’t even see any light of hope.

Don’t believe the lies of the enemy for one second. Take those thoughts captive and put them under the obedience of Christ in Jesus name!

God shows up in unexpected ways.

He shows up in the mundane.

His Hope. There’s this hope that He gives you.

I knew to just keep one foot in front of the other. People, my people were depending on me. In the middle of my heartache, my pain, they needed me. I had to put one foot in front of the other because their survival depended on me. In the midst of the every day, forcing a smile when you feel the pain. God saw that.

I feel like I was throwing a tantrum with the Lord. ok, I was throwing a tantrum with the Lord. No beating around the bush on that one. I was like , why does anything I do matter when you, God, are in control of it all and you are gonna do what you are wanna do with or with out me so why does it matter? Why do I need to show up and be me and do what I’m supposed to do?? You are in control and it doesn’t matter what I do? right??

One night in the middle of our children’s reading before bed , during the bible reading and the nursery rhyme book that we had just done for a week. I started to read the next page in the nursery rhyme book with all my children, even the bittiest one at the time, they all began to say the whole thing from memory from that page. The next page just the same. I would say the first word, then they would continue to recite form memory the entirety of it. I was speechless in that moment. This is when the Lord revealed to me that I just need to keep on keeping on.

He revealed and made come alive to me Galatians 6:9 “And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.”

He showed me through this verse that what I do matters. I need to keep making the right choices. The next right choice and to choose Him because my little people are watching. What I do matters. I matter to the God who created the universe.

I am doing right by showing up for my people even when I don’t feel like it. I am doing right when I don’t want to, by consciously choosing to do the next right thing, despite my feelings. God has got me. He will reward me with heavenly rewards. What I sow in this life for Him , He will reward me for in heaven.

He’s telling me “atta girl”, keep going, you are doing good, keep on keeping on my precious daughter and tell them about me and my goodness and mercy and love and forgiveness. Show them what trust looks like. Show them how to love, serve, cook, clean, pick up, dust, read my word. Show them what that looks like in an every day living. They need to see it lived out in front of them. This will be a treasure for them as they walk this journey of life out for themselves.

Point them towards Christ. Everything points to Jesus. Everything and all things Jesus. Like the old hymn Jesus in the morning Jesus in the evening Jesus at supper time. Praise Him in the morning praise Him in the evening praise Him at supper time.

You reap what you sow. You sow Jesus , you’ll reap Jesus. Sow Jesus in your self and in your children, you’ll reap Jesus.

I’m going to to leave you with one of the best comforting scriptures for me as a momma I have found dear mommas. If you trust in Jesus and His word, He will sustain you.

Isaiah 40:11 “He will feed His flock like a shepherd: He will gather the lambs in His arm, He will carry them in His bosom and will gently lead those that have young.”
